    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

Because schools remain closed to students and visitors due to COVID-19, new student registrations will now be submitted online. If your child is new to the Division, you must complete our school’s online registration form, fill out and upload the Student Registration form and submit supporting documents before your child(ren) can be registered for the upcoming school year.

Our school will no longer accept printed registrations. Do not drop off student registration forms at the school.

***Please note that Coronation School is full in planned classes in Grades 2 and 5 for families outside of the school's attendance area. We are still accepting registrations in those grade levels if you are a resident of Edmonton Public Schools and have newly moved into our attendance area after April 15, 2020. All other grades remain open for now.

Submitting a registration package after the deadline of April 15, 2020 may limit your options to schools with available space.Learn more about registration dates and deadlines

  • Clubs & Activities

    Clubs & Activities

Student Leadership opportunities are a very important part of our school. Many students volunteer their time during the day in regular activities such as daily student secretary and daily lunchroom assistance. One highlight each year has been the Coronation School Variety Show. Students have the opportunity to showcase and present in front of an audience of peers!

Extra-Curricular activities are held at lunch recess. These are led by volunteer teachers, student teachers and/or student leadership teams.  Our students are empowered to present written proposals to run an extracurricular activity.  They are very excited to develop the goals and lead students through their club!

We have also implemented extra-curricular opportunities where students propose ideas to support global citizenship.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Coronation School!

We are an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme that serves Kindergarten to Grade 6 students in a school that boasts a family-first community. Families are the cornerstone of Coronation School. Our strong parent and community member involvement ensures our students experience a rich, transformational, and unique learning environment.

The Coronation School mission is:

  • Empowering all students to succeed

  • Embracing diversity

  • Encouraging lifelong learning

As the principal of Coronation, I am incredibly proud of our diverse K- 6 community, where students engage in a minds-on, hands-on, experiential approach to learning. Our commitment to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) emphasizes inquiry, curiosity, empathy, and the development of the whole child in order to reinforce a growth mindset within our students.

Through the support and talent of our students, families, and skilled staff, we work collaboratively to create a dynamic learning environment where children thrive. Our students are well prepared to be lifelong learners who are unafraid to ask essential questions as they face life’s challenges.

In the words of the student who designed our Coronation Owl mascot: they are wise, they see in more than one direction and they soar above. If you have any questions about enrollment or would like a school tour please do not hesitate to call.
