LUNCH-TIME SUPERVISION PROGRAM
A lunch-time supervision program is offered for students who are unable to go home during the lunch recess time. Lunchroom supervisors provide inside and outside supervision during the lunch time. An annual fee is required for this service and is charged monthly for the convenience of families. Information is sent home each year in September. Registration is required for this service.
If your student typically goes home for lunch, please still register for service on a 'drop-in' basis (daily charge). This will ensure that if you require your child to stay due to inclement weather or a family emergency, they are already registered for the service.
NUTRITION
Developing good eating habits is an objective of the Health curriculum. All students are encouraged to bring healthy snacks to eat during breaks.
The school faculty will not sell or provide students with foods listed on Alberta Health Services Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth “choose least often” list. Foods from this category are very low in nutrients and higher in calories, fat, sugar and salt.
